What you can do

Instagram comment-to-DM is available for professional accounts. Connections must verify messaging and comment permissions; each routine still requires review and activation. Whether it works for your account depends on Instagram, so we check when you connect.

Connect a professional account in Connections. Messages from people arrive in Messages, and approved replies can go out within 24 hours of their latest message. Connecting does not turn on replies.

When Instagram allows it, an automation can react to comments, DM keywords, story replies, story mentions and shared posts. For a comment, it can privately send your approved link and, if you choose, add a public confirmation. Comments come in as they happen. Loresta does not import old comments or read other people’s accounts.

Connect and test

Instagram needs a paid plan. You can upgrade first and connect afterward. Free still gives you private reply previews and your Creator Page.

1. Pick Instagram in Connections and sign in to the account you own.
2. Wait until it says connected. Personal accounts and accounts missing message or comment access cannot use automations.
3. Open the Automation tab in Messages, pick the account and the trigger, and read the reply and link.
4. Save a draft and test it. If you added public replies, read each wording.
5. Turn it on only when you are ready for real people to trigger it.

Example: for a keyword on one post, privately send your guide link and optionally say publicly that you sent it.

Likes and Instagram limits

Instagram does not let Loresta like comments. The like option works for Facebook only, and no permission you grant changes that.

Instagram allows one private reply per comment, within seven days. Sending it does not start a longer chat. Follow-ups depend on the person replying and on Instagram’s 24-hour messaging window. A test inside Loresta cannot confirm that Instagram will accept your account or deliver a message.

When a reply does not go out

Check the account’s access, the kind of trigger, the post ID, exclusions, repeat protection and your latest approval. Reconnect if access ran out. A public reply is a separate action: it does not show that the private reply worked.
